Snow..again.. but turn that around....

We have more snow again! Which means that no school for the kids again. So they have had about a week off from snow in the past 2 weeks. Normally I would be going coo coo! But I have been trying to see positive and turn things around to make them good. So I was thinking.. instead of complaining that I am stuck in the house with the kids again, I would be thankful that I have a home to live in, that I have heat, and 2 kids that really are blessings. To be grateful for what you have and find the positive. It will make you much happier... and not want to lock your self in the closet until school starts again! Until next time, Love Tara

Go on vacation... for a LONG TIME

OK.. today was a great day, got to hang out with my niece and nephew... they are little baby's! It was great, played, changed diapers(ewww!) rocked..As overwhelming as baby's can be it was easier then..I think! Such a change when I get home. I come home to attitudes... from both kids. The older is not doing well in school, and really doesn't seem to care. Wants to drop out and get a GED.. NO WAY is that going to happen. Nothing I do is right, hate and lack or respect ooze out of this one. And I was told that I am not respected as well. But then asks me to drive them somewhere?? Hello? The other one has temper tantrums and yells to get out of doing anything, and when bothered by the other one. So that child was sent to their room for the night, and went oh so easy.. not! So as a parent what do you do? Do you say fine, screw your life up..I am done and can't do this.. or continue in an endless battle that never goes anywhere and things stay the same. And makes you want to go on vacation for a long time, alone!

I have decided that I am going to load a video stream up weekly, so you can get advice, engage and be a part of this site! This is taking the place of the Cd's, which I had originally planned to charge a fee in order to cover cost of producing and shipping them. As a single mom, I really do not think it is the thing that I want to do. I created my site in order to help motivate, inspire and assist single mothers, and not to profit from their difficulties. Also to be able to speak at venues that single moms would attend. Recently I have received several posts about how I am rotten for charging for things However this is very wrong since I am NOT charging any single moms for products or to view my site. I started "Single Momma Drama..no more!" Because this is something I am passionate about. I think that single moms need to have a place where they are validated and get help they need. Some ask what makes me an expert on this? Well I am not an expert. Instead, I am a woman who has been a single mom for over 14 years, and have learned many things along the way. I have not always done things correctly, but I always have done the best that I can and learned at every step. This is what I want you as a single mom to be ... the best that you can! Teenagers....

Ok.....My son has the same thing to do 2xs a week... same day,,, same time.. but can never remember.!!!!! He has forgotten to take the trash to the curb for about 3 weeks... so it is in front of my house now piled in cans, neatly. I would not do it, trying to make him do his chore! However by me trying to prove a point and not taking it out to the curb, the toownship came to my door to give me a fine. So I called the trash co and the soonest they can come is on Friday our next pickup date. So I am thinking, maybe I should forget to feed him? Forget to drive him places? Forget to pay his cell bill? He did get me a rose Vday.... he remebered that! But I am still annoyed about the trash.

OK... this blog is about how we as Sms ( single moms) feel, about how to make our live better, and be great moms. I do not spout statistics or surveys on the life of Sms.. I talk about my life, and how I perceive things. And solutions to issues that I think work.

One of my dearest and longest friends just left, our kids are close which is very nice as well! She moved about 20 minutes from our old neighbor hood, than I moved farther from her. :( So when we get together it is always nice! She suggested that I start this blog, to add to my Motivational Speaking... and I thought this was an EXCELLENT idea... so thanks to you C!!!
She left due to the fact that we are getting MORE snow... whoopee freaking do!! I have had these kids in the house since last Wed... I am praying that they go to school tomorrow!!! I think I may go get a bottle of wine... lol... But I cant do that because my teenager called to see if I can pick him up from a friends.. that he walked to earlier. How is it I can not get him to do a thing, but he expects me to jump and run for him?? Until next time, Tara

Starting to blog...About me

Hi everyone...well who ever is there! I am Tara Ewalt a motivational speaker for single moms. I lost my fiancee to an act of violence when I was 8 months pregnant with my son. No life insurance, I went back to work as a Dental Assistant, and waitress, and went to school part time. While I was working in the dental office I developed a life threatening allergy to latex. I would up going into cardiac arrest, then had a minor stroke. After I was out of the hospital, I had to start over and find a new career. I also remarried, had my daughter and was divorced 2 years later. I then was left to start over. I then started my own business, You've Got It Maid. And went back to school. I had had the business for 9 years, and starting Motivational Speaking for Single Moms this year. I hope to inspire and help other single moms through this journey.
